We’ve waxed lyrical about Bebaroque many a time before and it seems the (now award-winning!) luxury legwear brand still has the ability to get us all hot under the collar. If you don’t know about Bebaroque…where have you been the last few years?! The Scottish brand has been around since 2007 and has gained notoriety for their beautiful signature embroidery and embellishments, not to mention their unfaltering commitment to high quality products. Over the last few years, Mhairi McNicol and Chloe Patience- the designers behind the brand, have branched out and the range now includes exquisite dresses, bodies, scarves and accessories. Their Saylor tattoo print tights, first introduced in 2010 are a firm favourite of mine and an absolute wardrobe essential.
Here’s a quick glimpse at the gorgeous Autumn Winter 2011 collection, inspired by a sailor’s voyage to a Hawaiian tropical island.
How amazing are those bodies?! Stunning. The range is incredibly well designed and refreshingly every one of Bebaroque’s designed, sampled, hand-screenprinted and hand embroidered in Scotland. So great to be able to support a homegrown British product.
If you buy one thing this season make it the Tattooed Lady Legging – a brand new addition to the signature tattoo design collection for 2011. The fabric is super soft, super stretchy and super strong. To test them out I even did a yoga session in them and they held up 100%. Impressive. And it goes some way to justifying the hefty £105 price tag. It’s fair to say they’re not cheap but they’re the kind of thing you can wear over and over again – dress them up, dress them down – there’s no doubt you’ll get your money’s worth out of them. Love love love.
Bebaroque is sold at Liberty, Harrods and Selfridges or you can buy online at www.bebaroque.co.uk
